Ómra Nest
Designed for multi-generational living in Co. Limerick, Ómra Nest is a thoughtfully reimagined family sanctuary tailored for a new chapter following 22 years of cherished memories. To accommodate the joyful arrival of grandchildren and modern family rituals, we opened up enclosed rooms to create a light-filled, fluid layout where open-plan gathering spaces naturally encourage connection, conversation and family life. At the heart of the home, a bespoke kitchen, sculptural crafted island and walk-in pantry support effortless entertaining, whist a dedicated bootroom and utility offer practical storage for an active outdoor lifestyle. Natural materials and textures give the home heart, depth and lived-in luxury. A creative, thoughtful balance of timeless elegance matched with robust durability.

To infuse the home with character and warmth, we layered tactile natural textures with a rich palette of deep forest colours and seasonal, earthy rust tones. Structural details were softened throughout. A gracefully curved chimney breast that replaces previous hard angles with fluid architectural lines. Marrying timeless aesthetic appeal with robust, durable materials, Ómra Nest now stands as a warm, functional, and deeply personal sanctuary engineered to nurture family life across every stage.
Bathrooms, too, were imagined with both beauty and function in mind. The family bathroom paired a generous shower with bespoke storage and a deep bathtub that’s ideal for happy, mucky grandchildren to lark about in. We chose to make an extra splash in the powder room, adding panelling, botanical themes, and bold wallpaper to create a fun, vibrant place that would delight visitors and family alike.
I recently renovated my kitchen/living room/utility and bathroom with Helena and Tracey. From our first meeting to the ongoing project management, the girls were enthusiastic and created the most wonderful designs the family loves. They bring all this to life with their creative flair, which I never would have achieved. They have fantastic ideas and know what little touches make a room extra special. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome, it feels like a new home.
